The Position: STEAMGARD Field Engineer
The STEAMGARD Field Engineer works directly in the field with our clients, gathering such vital information as utility data, facility profiles, site drawings and system operating characteristics. You will go to our project sites to assess and document existing practices and procedures and to investigate, analyze and document energy cost reduction measures and efficiency improvements. In addition, you will work with our Field Services Department to help with client retrofit projects and maintenance programs. Your qualifications must include: A B.S. in engineering with five years experience in plant operations, maintenance and/or construction OR an M.Sc. with three years in-plant operations experience.
The Position: STEAMGARD Project Engineer
The STEAMGARD Project Engineer’s responsibilities include those of the Field Engineer, plus the preparation and presentation of technical material, proposals and detailed feasibility reports. You will provide peer review of engineering analyses and project review, in addition to critical review of proposals and technical content editing. You will manage/execute construction, field training and system commissioning. Your qualifications must include:
- B.S. in engineering (M.Sc. or MBA preferred)
- A minimum of five years experience in engineering, design, ESCO and/or consulting in energy analysis or energy efficiency projects.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and quantify energy and operational needs, use and savings projections.
- Experience with facility steam operations and installation projects involving boiler plants, HVAC retrofit and industrial processes.
- Experience with measurement and verification, project cost accounting and estimating.
- Financial planning and budget experience, with the ability to develop a business proposal.
- Excellent oral, written, computer communication and presentation skills.
Desired attributes include construction/field experience; familiarity with CAD, maintenance and related software; and professional registration or CEM designation.

Position
The STEAMGARD Business Development Manager leads the sales process. You will utilize your business development skills and experience, coupled with your engineering background, to recognize customer needs and to develop high value sales opportunities. Your responsibilities will include defining sales strategies and tactics, identifying appropriate business opportunities for specific accounts, negotiating project contracts and assuring effective project completion. ESCO experience is highly desirable.
Requirements
To be considered for this important position, you must have:
- An engineering degree (an M.Sc. or MBA and CEM is highly desirable)
- At least five years of results-producing business development experience in the industrial, institutional or government markets (a focus on steam system operations or related fields is highly desirable)
- Successful experience selling to senior management
- Extensive group presentation experience
- A track record of business development in professional services and/or proprietary products, such as ECMs and maintenance programs
- The ability to pass a security clearance and background check
- Outstanding professional references

Position
If you’ve dealt with facilities managers, maintenance directors or energy management personnel, this could be a unique opportunity to match your experience with our needs! We are steam experts and our customers are steam users, so we hire sales people who speak our language – and theirs. As a STEAMGARD Field Sales Engineer, you are essential to our success because you are STEAMGARD's primary customer–facing representative during the initial sales process. You will utilize your selling skills and experience, coupled with your professional background, to recognize customer needs and to make sales.
Requirements
To be considered for this important position, you must have:
- College education
- Five years or more of results-producing experience selling in the industrial, institutional or government markets (a focus on steam system operations or related fields is highly desirable)
